ITINERARY 

 

08:30 hrs/ 14:00 hrs: Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and at 576sqkm covers a similar area to Singapore. The Phuket Town Half Day Tour focuses on the southwestern part of the island, where some of the most renowned beaches and resorts are situated. On the road you pass through Patong Beach – the main centre of Phuket tourism, and head south along the coastal road to Karon Beach - a tranquil family destination, and then Kata Beach with Koh Pu (Crab Island) in the background.

 

The Kata/Karon Viewpoint is the first stop along the road. Located a few kilometres south of Kata, it enjoys an impressive vista comprising Kata Noi, Kata and Karon Beaches. Then we visit Phukets very own Cashew Nut factory where guests can find many of the Island's local produce on display and to purchase. Then it's off to the Khao Rang View Point, Khao Rang (Rang Hill) is one of Phuket’s most famous viewpoints. Located to the northwest of the city centre, its summit offers views out over the town, to the south of the island, neighbouring islands and along the hills forming the ‘spine’ of the island, upon which sits the impressive Phuket Big Buddha.

 

After that we explore Phuket Town's Sino Portugese Heritage, The beautiful architecture along these roads will take you back to the charm of a century ago. The architecture is a reflection of European influence on the island. Europeans, including the Portuguese and the British have been interested in Phuket’s tin wealth since the 16th century. Two styles of buildings in particular stand out: the shop-houses (Sino-Portuguese style) and the big mansions (Sino-Colonial style).

 

After Phuket town we visit the splendid Temple of Chalong. Wat Chalong is the largest and most important temple in Phuket. It is dedicated to two highly revered monks who led the resistance against a Chinese Coolie rebellion in 1876. After the temple you will be transferred back to your hotel.
