Boonthani, what does it mean?
The word "Boonthani" derives from two ancient Thai words, the first word "Boon" meaning "Merit" and the second word "Thani" meaning "City", put together "Boonthani" means "The City of Merit", which refers to Thailand's first capital of Sukhothai founded in 1230. Often revered as the birthplace of Theravada Buddhism in modern day Thailand.
