ITINERARY 

 

 

08:30 hrs: Experience the Hill tribe people all in one day. First off a visit is made to the Hilltribe Museum, this ethnological museum has collections illustrating the cultures of Northern Thailand's tribal groups. After the museum drive through beautiful scenery on route north of Chiang Mai to Chiang Dao, approx. 80 Km's away. Here we visit the Lisu Hill Tribe Village, their colorful costume originates in Tibet as well as themselves. Onwards we continue by foot to the Karen Hill Tribe Village and observe these peace loving ,industrious and faithful people.

Then we have lunch which is served picnic style. Back to Lisu hilltribe village again, then we visit the Akha hilltribe village, the woman of this village have one of the most beautiful and stunning head wares, decorated with assorted coins, shell, beats feathers and animal's fur. Then we drive to the Lahu hilltribe village, who originate in Tibet and China and are experts at hunting (No need to worry, that doesn't include you!). 

Last but not least we visit the Palong hilltribe village, one of the most beautifully costumed tribes originating from Myanmar. We head back to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon.

 

**The Hilltribe Museum is closed on Saturday and Sundays instead we will visit the Chiang Dao Cave.**
