ITINERARY 

 

08:00 hrs/ 13:00 hrs:  Depart from your hotel to Rattanakosin Island, the original area of Bangkok when it was first established as the capital over 200 years ago.

 

Visit Wat Trimit, known for its famous Golden Buddha. The beautiful image of solid gold is three metres high and weighs five and a half tons. We then continue the tour by passing through the beautiful city scenery of the colorful flower market and Chinatown. The bustling commercial area of Chinatown is well known for its gold jewellery shops. The atmosphere is totally different at night when hordes of food stalls line the streets.

 

Continuing onwards we head for Wat Pho or Temple of the Reclining Buddha, built in the 16th century. It is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok, holding the largest number of pagodas (95 in total) in the city. Wat Pho was the first open university of Thailand which offered courses in several branches of education such as literature, astrology, medicine and the art of massage! It's well known for the huge Reclining Buddha which is 46M long and 15 m. high. 

 

Then we visit Wat Benchamabopit or the Marble Temple, one of the more modern works of Thai religious architecture, it is graceful and tranquil, famous for its main chapel built with white Carara Italian marble to house a replica of Thailand's most beautiful Beautiful Buddha image, Phra Phutthachinarat.

 

Then we city sightsee along Ratchadumnoen Road (Royal Procession Road). En route you can see many magnificent temples and architectural buildings, including the City Pillar Shrine, National Museum, Democracy Monument, Golden Mountain, Thai Boxing Stadium, Anantasamakhom Palace, Parliament House, Dusit Zoo and Chitlada Palace King's Residence.

 

After the tour is over you will be transferred back to your hotel.
